We provide workshops, lectures, talks and activities for community groups and members about how to plan and prepare to die well in Vermont, including a natural burial.
Dying well is something that can only happen with the support of a community. Due to financial constraints and staffing shortfalls, our medical system is very limited in what it can provide at the end of life... even through hospice. Most people will need robust community support to be able to die at home. By offering our education to community groups, we help make sure everyone can benefit from this support. You can also learn about the avocations that exist to support the end of life, including death doulas and home funeral guides.
Have a drink, a yummy treat, and talk about death.
Facilitated by Michelle, the death cafe can be themed or it be an open discussion. Not a grief support group or a workshop., a death cafe is meant to provide a space for people to share their thoughts and feelings about topics related to death & dying.
